BOURBON, MO – Imperial Headwear, the #1 headwear brand for Private and Resort golf facilities as reported by the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) in their 2016 Member Survey, announced a new partnership and e-commerce fundraising collaboration with the Colorado Golf Association (CGA).

Imperial will become the “Official Headwear of the Colorado Golf Association” under the new agreement, and provide headwear for staff and volunteers and contestants in the CGA’s top competitive events in 2017.

“The CGA is very appreciative of our partnership with Imperial Headwear,” said Ed Mate, executive director of the Colorado Golf Association. “The Imperial brand has a great history in the state of Colorado and we are proud to work with them to help grow the game.”

Imperial will also be offering limited edition Colorado Golf Association headwear on their website – ImperialSports.com – and a portion of the proceeds will be directed to their Community and Wellness Programs which supports a variety of initiatives, including their Solich Caddie and Leadership Academy and Hale Irwin Elite Player Program which will receive Imperial headwear for the 2017 season.

“I am very excited to work with the Colorado Golf Association to raise money for their charitable initiatives,” said David Shaffer, director of marketing at Imperial Headwear. “Imperial will always be connected to Colorado and we are happy to be partnering with the Colorado Golf Association.”

The Limited Edition collection of hats offered online will include 21 styles in multiple colors with either a CGA logo merrowed patch or a special edition CGA embroidered logo. $10 from each designated cap sold online will go directly to the CGA youth programs; free ground shipping is available on these hats too.

About the Colorado Golf Association (CGA)

The Colorado Golf Association is dedicated to preserving, improving and sharing the game of golf in Colorado. While we are best known for providing handicaps, course ratings and state tournament activities, our impact extends beyond the course and into the community.
Through the game and our programs, we teach the principles of competition, ethics and etiquette – hallmarks of today’s most effective business and community leaders.
More than 43,000 golfers in Colorado, with GHIN handicaps, and 300+ facilities and clubs are members of the CGA and direct supporters of our programs and partnerships. The CGA’s impact is seen in our programs offered at our association-owned, mission based golf course, CommonGround. These programs include the Solich Caddie & Leadership Academy, Hale Irwin Elite Player Program and other unique programs provided to a growing variety of youth-serving nonprofit partners.
